27 Jaws

Follow WellnessHill on Twitter  As the new year approaches, so does a new phase for me.  "This is a time to be great," but I have learned that to be great, you have to first be great to yourself.  I am leaving behind many of the frustrations of last year to concentrate on developing new skills and knowledge that I will ultimately have more to give.  This year I resolve to focus on reaching those personal goals where I have fallen short and on remaining teachable as I learn from others.

First, WellnessHill as you have known it is changing to make room for a more personal vision.  I simply do not have the time to continue the store in its current direction and will be forwarding most of WellnessHill.com here in the coming days.  As always, I will make myself available for product support but I have been worn thin and I am stepping back for a time to connect in a deeper way with those of you who are traveling a similar path.  For me, the connections I have made and hearing how I have been able to make a difference are the things I would like to see more of in the coming year and if a website stands in the way of this, the website needs to change!

Second, I am broadening my posts on WellnessHill to reflect my personal experiences.  I do not believe health and wellness are somethings that occur separate from life!

Last, as I continue through life to find answers I have discovered they always lead to more questions.  As I move into research and continuing studies I would only expect this pattern to continue.  By posting here I hope to connect with you as I offer my thoughts and experiences to share and consider.  My hope is that WellnessHill will not be a place that offers empty answers, but a place for friends to connect and find answers within ourselves.

To all of you, I wish an amazing new year!  Tell me what you learn!  ~Rachel

"This is a time to look at what goes in and out of your mouth.  Where do the words and food come from?  Where do they go?  What is the source of your nourishment and whom do you nourish?  Concern yourself with taking things in, literally and metaphorically.  Take in what has been said and done to feed the new in yourself and others.  Help to nourish people and their hopes and needs.  Through these concerns, the way opens.  Contemplate these things deeply, for the answer to your question lies there.  Correct the source of nourishment.  Articulate how you eat, drink and speak.  Heaven and Earth nourish the myriad beings.  The sages nourish what is excellent in order to extend it to others.  You can do this also.  This is a time to be great."  (Stephen Karcher, PhD, from How to Use the I Ching.)
